This Celeb-Approved Shoe Is Perfect for All Your Summer Weddings
For 25 years, one New York-based shoe designer has been quietly building an insane empire. Stuart Weitzman’s fans include basically every stylish supermodel and actress, such as Victoria’s Secret angel Lily Aldridge (she’s the face of his spring campaign), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Olivia Culpo, Blake Lively and more. Even Kate Middleton is a fan — she’s been spotted sporting some of his wedges (natch).
It’s pretty easy to see why celebs would love his shoes, but they especially go nuts for his Nudist styles. They’re so popular that he has 18 styles available on his website now, ranging in heel heights and colors. The flesh-toned, black or metallic-colored simple ankle and foot strapped sandal elongates the leg to make you insanely tall and gorgeous, and the style goes with literally almost anything, from a ball gown to a sleek tailored suit.
However, like most celebrity favorites, the Nudists don’t come cheap. At $398, you can argue that they’re relatively affordable in the grand scheme of designer shoes, so if you’re looking to splurge on a single dress shoe that will last you years and years, this is it. If you’re in the market for something more budget friendly, we’ve got you covered with four similar options — pedicure not included.
1. Sole Society Mia Mid-Heel ($70): This soft gold color would look great as a snazzy accompaniment to any summer wedding outfit, from a long printed dress to a cocktail LBD. The mid-heel height will keep you dancing all night long.
2. Sam Edelman Patti Sandals ($100): These silver stunners would be a great addition to a red or purple dress, or would look great with a tuxedo-like suit or a jumpsuit. Very ‘70s chic.
3. Steve Madden Stecy Sandal ($80): Why not try it in color? An all white ensemble for your bridal lunch will get a punch of color with these red cuties. They’d also be a great surprise peeking out from under a navy dress. Not a red girl? This style comes in 12 different color options.
4. Bandolino Madia Sandal ($59): Ain’t ever mad at a neutral, amirite? You’ll have to work on your catwalk-worthy strut a la Emily Ratajkowksi, but it’ll be easy (and affordable!) in this pair.
