Brit + Co. Goes on a Stylish Summer Road Trip
Who doesn’t love a road trip? In prepping for road trip season, we’ve shown you our favorite apps for road tripping, a whole bunch of RVs for a cross country getaways, and a whole bunch of ways to upgrade your car. But what about road trip style? You’ve gotta stock up on some duds that pop in all those travel photos! That’s why when the folks at Banana Republic asked us to take a road trip to celebrate their Milly Collection, we were happy to hit the road!
For our day trip, we left from San Francisco and visited Marin Headlands, Battery Wallace picnic area, Muir Woods, Parkside Snack Bar (gotta get our ice cream fix!), and Stinson Beach. Read on to find out what fun stuff we got up to on our trip!
First, props to Banana for sending over a fun collection of outfits from the Milly Collection as well as this crazy colorful BMW! From left to right: Medallion Print Dress ($120); Printed Halter Top ($80) + Pink Neon Short ($50); and Colorblock Pleated Patio Dress ($165).
First stop: Marin Headlands.
This beautiful spot is just minutes from San Francisco and gives you breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and our lovely city.
The views are so gorgeous, they make you want to jump! :)
Next up, a picnic at Battery Wallace picnic area.
Wine, chips, hummus, and a serious picnic basket. What more could you need for a picnic overlooking the Bay?
Oh, you obviously need to take a group selfie! And we’re loving the leopard print iPhone case.
Now for a little light hiking, we hopped on over to Muir Woods.
Fun fact about Muir Woods? The most recent Planet of Apes was filmed in there, so it’s the perfect place to monkey around. (Worst or best pun ever? You decide.)
Snack time! The Parkside Snack Bar is a favorite stop on the way from Muir Woods to Stinson Beach.
The only question is, what to order? NOM.
Finally, it’s off to Stinson Beach for some sun, surf, and play.
Don’t you do light gymnastics anytime you see a lifeguard tower? But where oh where is David Hasselhoff when you need him?
Things got really silly once we busted out the football. Hike!
All in all, we had a pretty incredible day trip up the coast.
