Taco Bell Just Made a Taco Shell Out of a Fried Egg
Did you even know that Taco Bell had a killer breakfast menu? Sure, we’re all familiar with the McDonald’s Egg McMuffin (although we lost all-day breakfast this year) and the delicious breakfast options at Starbucks. Not to be outdone, Taco Bell has been growing their yum-tastic breakfast menu to go WAY beyond a breakfast burrito. And now, they’re introducing some new menu items that’ll satisfy TexMex breakfast cravings for those of us who are living that low-carb life.
Introducing the naked breakfast taco: a complete breakfast with potato bites, sausage or bacon, nacho cheese, and shredded cheddar surrounded by a shell constructed with a fried egg, yolk and all. If you don’t like the idea of the egg shell, you can order the naked taco “dressed,” and it will come with a traditional taco shell.
Along with the naked breakfast taco, Foodbeast is reporting that the chain is planning to roll out a croissant burrito in the future. Unfortunately, however, unless you live in or near Flint, Michigan, you won’t be able to sample the naked breakfast burrito just yet, as the company plans to test the new item starting in mid-April in the city. But if it goes well, we expect to see the naked breakfast taco roll out nationwide sometime soon.
