Hearts around the world broke when Target announced last month that it would be doing away with its longstanding brand Merona (they also nixed Mossimo, but in the men’s department only). But where one fashion door closes, another opens, and its brand-new exclusive store label for women, aptly dubbed A New Day, has arrived. It's available for just about every body type — sizes range from 0 to 16, with separate plus-size offerings that range from X to 4X and 14W to 26W. Click through to check out our top picks from the debut collection and get ready to shop: The line will hit stores in late August with accessories and jewelry to follow in September.
Pleated Midi Skirt ($25): We LOVE the sunny hue of this pleated mini, which just so happens to be the perfect length for maintaining your professional cool.
Floral Peasant Blouse ($25): Your new date-night go-to has arrived in the form of this romantic and flowy peasant top.
Statement Sleeve Shirt ($25+): You’ll be the “bell(e)” of the workplace with this little wide-sleeved number, which makes a plain white top anything but boring.
Cropped Shine Tweed Jacket ($28): There’s nothing chicer than tweed, and this summer-to-fall piece has an added surprise with a bit of color at the sleeves and a sweet printed lining.
Hello Sunshine Jean Jacket ($30-35) and Striped Top ($13): The denim topper staple gets a majorly adorable upgrade with the words “Hello sunshine” emblazoned across its front pocket.
Statement Sleeve Blouse ($28): Make a statement with your blouse, just like Naya Rivera on the Teen Choice Awards blue carpet, in this cute AF oversized ruffle sleeve, button-down top.
Striped Shirtdress ($28): Whether you pair it with jeans, as pictured above, or wear it alone, this shirtdress makes it a cinch to go from meetings to happy hour without missing a beat.
Plaid Top Coat ($40): We’re mad for the plaid print of this fall-ready topper, which instantly dresses up any ensemble.
Crepe Blouse ($20): Pretty, polished, AND affordable? We’ll take it!
Foil Crepe Tee ($25): Basic doesn’t have to be boring! A few shiny gold foil circles take this otherwise standard tee to new heights.
Floral Appliqué Any Day Shirt ($20): Any day is the right one to wear this feminine embellished button-down.
Boyfriend Blazer ($35): An oversized take on your classic blazer, this office staple will give your workwear an instantly cool, edgy feel.
Menswear-Inspired Top ($25): This easy layering piece can be worn alone in the waning days of summer or with a cardigan over top when the temp outside starts to drop.
Embroidered Military Jacket ($35):Satin bombers are all the rage, and this floral military look is a fresh take on the cropped jacket trend.
Poplin Shirt ($25): Off-duty never looked so sharp, thanks to this crisp white poplin top.
Trench Coat With Hood ($45): Part classic, part street, this jacket will not only keep you dry in a downpour, it will shield your face from any harsh winds that go along with it.
