Target Is Dropping A New Collab & The Internet's Convinced It's With Glossier
Target just teased a new collaboration set to release on June 9 – but they've left fans like me wondering what exactly the collab could be! Their announcement (posted on June 5) is oh-so elusive, and it has everyone guessing what's to come.

For the announcement, Target posted a short Instagram Reel with a video of their signature red hand basket turning all pink. A light pink, I will add!
"A good combo is about to be the BEST combo,💖" the caption reads. "Something pink is coming June 9th. 👀✨"
Target's announcement was posted in collaboration with the Target Style account (@targetstyle), so my mind immediately went to brands like Victoria's Secret PINK or Loveshackfancy – both have potential since they seem to align with Target's demographic.
Ride-or-die Target fans and followers immediately sounded off in the comments about this potential (and very pink) collaboration. The guesses everyone's made thus far about the collaborative brand include:
- Victoria's Secret PINK
- Crumbl Cookies
- Pepto Bismol (I have to laugh!)
- Bogg Bags
- Glossier
- Hello Kitty
- Mean Girls
- Barbie
- Ulta
- Kylie Cosmetics
- Loveshackfancy
- Legally Blonde
These are all good guesses, IMO, but I have one very strong suitor in mind!
Even though we're all still in the dark about the June 9 collab, fans seem to be focused on securing whatever Target's selling, no matter what.
"All I know is that I want it," another said. "I don’t even care what it is."
"Whatever it is, I probably need it," someone else wrote.
"I just want the basket," one person commented. The Target allegiance is strong, y'all!
Target lovers weren't the only ones going nuts for the announcement. Tons of brands and influencers left comments – even some sketchy ones which lead me to believe it's one beloved brand in particular.
Victoria's Secret PINK (@vspink) left a comment: "This looks right up our alley. 🤔 We’re absolutely seated for this collab. 🤩"
The fact that they left such a direct comment discourages me from thinking the collab is really VS PINK. Which really got me thinking about that Glossier theory...
Ulta (@ultabeauty) also left a fishy comment, full of eyeball emojis: "👀👀👀👀."
They definitely are giving a more elusive vibe with their comment, building a good amount of hype!
Ulta actually doesn't currently carry any Glossier products (they're notoriously available at Sephora), but since Ulta Beauty recently integrated into many Target stores, I feel like a potential Target x Ulta x Glossier collab could do really well. Like, amazingly well.

All of that said, my official prediction for the upcoming Target collab is (drumroll, please) Glossier!
I mean, the pink shade featured in the teaser Reel is right on par with the makeup brand's identity and brand colors. Plus, given that Target has been pushing more beauty products in their stores via their Ulta inclusion, the dots connect clearly for me.
