Target’s Latest Collab Is Going to Make You Super Happy to Go to Work
It is hard to be stuck in an office all day — even if it is in your house — during the summer. You know the beach, a lake or even just an ice cream truck are only a trip away, and yet you have to be a grownup and, you know, do your job. UGH. But you will be happy to sit at your desk all day this summer thanks to Target’s upcoming collaboration with Sugar Paper, a high-end letterpress stationery company.
Started by friends and graphic designers Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker back in 2003, the company aims to provide beautiful social stationery. The Target collection, which will be available starting in July, is full of adorable but also practical accessories such as erasers, pink and white pencils, paper clips, planners, white and gold tape dispensers, metallic foiled planners and fun polka dot files. Prices will start as low as $1.99. Shukov told Target.com, “We were inspired to create a line of elevated office basics, because so many of the everyday office items we use don’t represent our style and certainly don’t feel special. We spend so much time at our desks each day, and when we were approached to create a line that could heighten our daily workspace with accents we love, we jumped at the opportunity.” The women said they were especially fond of the “Cub” stapler, which they partnered with Swingline on to update.
This collaboration will also include Sugar Paper’s first move into furniture with the high-gloss lacquer Sugar Paper Desk ($399.99) and Task Lamp ($39.99.) “People are shocked about the desk,” Shukov told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s been fun because today is the first time we are able to talk about it and show it off.” She continued, “We were so excited to build a desk that we could actually work on. It is really big, and that is an intentional choice so you can have your large monitor and file boxes sitting out, but still have it feel like a pretty, clean space.”

The new Sugar Paper for Target collection will be available at all Target stores and on Target.com starting in early July.
