Target Is Launching a New Size-Inclusive Clothing Line That Is All About Denim
Last year, Target announced that it would be bringing its customers not one, not two, but 12 new clothing brands. So far we’ve seen a few, like A New Day and Joylab that tackle trendy styles and athleisure, respectively. Yesterday, the department store revealed the first new line that will debut in 2018, Universal Thread.
Universal Thread is a denim-centric collection fit for all body types. Mark Tritton, Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said of the choice to focus on denim, “Denim is a part of every woman’s wardrobe, and with fewer options in the marketplace and learnings from the brands we’ve recently launched, we’re excited to bring our guests a lifestyle brand rooted in denim that’s also an amazing everyday value. This brand is all about ideas and outfits, not just items. It includes apparel, footwear, and accessories that are sure to become guest favorites.”
People responded well to the size range of A New Day, so Target decided to do it again — only even better. All of Universal Thread’s apparel sizes range from 00-26W. Prices range from $5 to $40 (nice!), so keep your wallets ready for Universal Thread that will be available in all Target stores and online at Target.com in early February.
