Whitney Port’s New Athleisure Line Will Make You Want to Hit the Gym ASAP
At the beginning of 2016 Target revealed an exciting new update to their business plan. They said they’d be carving out more space in their stores for their fashion department. Once that news dropped, we immediately started daydreaming about all of the epic collabs that might take place this year, and TBH, the brand hasn’t disappointed us yet. It’s only April and so far they’ve collaborated with fashion website Who What Wear, Marimekko and even Soul Cycle. The next line we can’t wait to shop at the red-and-white retailer: an activewear line by Whitney Port.
Since her debut on The Hills, Whitney has gone on to launch a lifestyle website and the successful clothing line Whitney Eve. Yesterday WWD broke the news that Whitney pitched Target to sell a line at their store and the brand bit. While there aren’t many details released yet about the line, we do know a few things:
It’s set for release during the back-to-school shopping season, and it is inspired by her current obsession with barre (a ballet-inspired workout class). WWD writes that the collection will include ballet touches and soft pinks, but will also feature the feminine and funky prints Whitney’s line is known for. Target also tells us, “The line will include approximately 16 items such as tanks, leggings, bralettes, and jackets. The pieces will range in price from $19.99 to $49.99.” Maybe we won’t cancel that gym membership after all…
