Each Zodiac Sign Has Its Own “Powerful” Tarot Card — What Yours Reveals About Your Personality

Have you ever wondered if there’s a deeper connection between your zodiac sign and the mystical world of tarot? Good news — there is! Each zodiac sign corresponds to a tarot card, making it easier to integrate these two spiritual tools into your journey of self-discovery.

When I had my first tarot reading at 19, I was both exhilarated and overwhelmed. The psychic was intense, leaving me with more questions than answers. Back in 2009 (yes, I know, ages ago), I had just started dabbling in astrology to better understand myself. Like many, I sought answers about when love would arrive in my life, not realizing that I needed to cultivate self-love first.

During the reading, the psychic laid out rows of cards filled with mysterious images of swords, wands, and cups. I had no idea what they meant, but I was completely mesmerized by the artwork. Her interpretation, however, was far from comforting — she predicted jealousy, enemies, and, oddly, 4.5 children by 30 (I’m still confused about the meaning of that half-child). But she said something accurate: I’d one day work in the public eye, reading the stars and helping others.

After that reading, more scattered and confused about my personal life and purpose, I made it my mission to read the tarot cards for myself. Guess what? You can even do the same. What I’ve learned since then is that tarot, like astrology, is a tool for empowerment. When used thoughtfully, it helps you access your intuition, rewrite your story, and connect with the archetypes that shape your life.

The Origins of Tarot and Its Connection to Astrology

The origins of tarot trace back to the 15th century in Europe, where the cards were initially used in a playing game called Tarocchi. Over time, mystics and occultists began to see the cards as tools for divination, embedding them with symbolic meanings. The connection to astrology came later, primarily during the 18th and 19th centuries, as esoteric thinkers like Eliphas Lévi and members of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn sought to integrate the wisdom of the stars with the archetypal images of tarot. This fusion gave each card a deeper cosmic significance, linking the Major Arcana to planets and zodiac signs and the Minor Arcana to elemental energies. Today, the integration of tarot and astrology allows us to explore universal truths through two complementary lenses, making them powerful allies in self-discovery.

Your tarot card, linked to your zodiac sign, can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and guidance. It represents your unique energy and offers insights into your strengths, challenges, and potential solutions in life. Here are some ways to connect with your card:

  1. Draw Your Card Before Sleep: Before going to bed, take a quiet moment to draw your zodiac tarot card. Hold it in your hands, think of a question, and set the intention to provide clarity or guidance for your dreams. Place the card by your bedside or under your pillow and pay attention to any symbols, emotions, or messages that surface in your dreams.
  2. Meditate With Your Card: Meditation can help you tap into the energy of your tarot card. Sit in a calm space and hold the card in front of you. Focus on its imagery, colors, and symbols. Visualize yourself stepping into the card’s world, embodying its energy. Allow any thoughts, feelings, or insights to arise without judgment. This practice can help you access your intuition and deepen your connection to the card's message.
  3. Journal Your Story: Feeling stuck in life? Let your tarot card help you navigate through your circumstances. Write a journal entry exploring how the card reflects your current situation. What strengths does it reveal about you? What challenges does it highlight? How might it inspire solutions? Writing your story can be a therapeutic way to process emotions and uncover paths forward.
  4. Use the Card as a Guide: Your tarot card is like a mirror, reflecting the energy you naturally carry. Turn to it when you need a reminder of your inner power. For instance, if you’re an Aries, The Emperor can help you reclaim your authority and create structure. If you’re a Pisces, The Moon invites you to trust your intuition and embrace mystery.
