Taylor Swift’s Label Just Weighed in on Those October Album Rumors
While Taylor Swift has claimed she’s taking a much-needed break from the biz to recharge and spend time with bae, Tom Hiddleston (despite being banned from his events), fans are having a little trouble waiting for new “Bad Blood”-type goodness. And while some are feeling that Taylor’s curls are a sure sign that she’s returning to her country roots, others are just hoping for any new music from their fave singer. One eager gal decided to put the question straight to Tay’s peeps and — surprise! — they were given a very clear answer on whether or not a new album is coming from Taylor Swift in October.
When asked on Twitter about a possible Taylor Swift album in the coming months, Scott Borchetta, the President and CEO of the Big Machine Label Group (i.e. the big boss in charge of Tay’s music) had a very definitive answer, tweeting, “NOPE”

Yeesh, don’t cushion the blow or anything, dude.
Though it seems like new music from Taylor isn’t scheduled any time soon, we can always keep our fingers crossed for some surprise releases and juicy Calvin-themed break-up tunes.
