How to Make Tea That Pairs Perfectly With Oatmeal
Since you hit the ground running each morning, it’s important to eat a balanced, nourishing meal to keep you energized until lunch. Quaker Oats provide the nutrients you need AND they are quick to fix in the morning (the perfect combination for an #OffYouGo routine). Pair them with a cup of aromatic tea and you’ll be invigorated and ready to get everyone out the door quickly. So today, we’ve teamed up with The Quaker Oats Company to share three delicious tea recipes paired with fruit and seed- and nut-topped bowls of oatmeal.
Black Tea With Pomegranate and Citrus
Ingredients:
— black tea (any variety)
— pomegranate juice
— pomegranate seeds
— orange juice
— lemon, lemon rind and lemon zest
First brew your tea. Then spruce it up with hints of delicious flavors.
Add more or less of each item depending on your taste.
Pair this zesty tea with Quaker Oats topped with blueberries, mango and chia seeds.
Creamy Black Tea With Caramel
This one is for all of you with a sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
— black tea (any variety)
— caramel sauce
— whole milk or cream
— whipped cream
Brew your tea, then add milk and top with whipped cream. Drizzle caramel on top for a sweet tea treat!
This tea pairs nicely with a bowl of Quaker Oats topped with almonds, banana and strawberries. Yum!
Smooth Matcha Tea
Matcha is so hot right now! Both in the literal sense and because it is buzzing all over Pinterest.
Ingredients:
— matcha tea
— milk
— foam
Make some matcha the strength you need to kick it into high gear in the morning. Add milk to mellow out the flavor and top with foam. If you don’t have a milk steamer to make foam, it’ll taste just as delightful without it.
Sip your matcha alongside a bowl of Quaker Oats with lime, coconut and crumbled pistachios. After the last bite it’s #OffYouGo!
