‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Maci Bookout Reveals She Suffered a Miscarriage
The stars of MTV’s Teen Mom have come a long way since they first appeared on the show, with many of them welcoming more children into their lives along the way. OG cast member Maci Bookout, for one, has had two more kids since the show premiered, but in a clip from an upcoming episode of the show, she reveals that she also recently suffered a miscarriage of a baby girl.
In the clip, Bookout and husband Taylor McKinney are out to dinner and discussing expanding their family further, which Bookout says she would like to do through adoption within a year or two. McKinney says he would like to have another biological child as well.
“If we want it to happen, it’s going to happen like that,” McKinney says confidently, snapping his fingers.
“You’re forgetting something,” Bookout responds seriously. “Think about it.” As McKinney goes quiet, Bookout urges him to talk about what’s bothering him, but he instead excuses himself to go to the bathroom. That’s when Bookout reveals to the MTV producer that they lost a baby. “I had a miscarriage. Her name was Dandy, Dandelion.”
As McKinney returns to the table, he says he doesn’t want to discuss it, but Bookout says that it would be good for viewers to hear about. McKinney says he’d prefer to let their parents know about it first.
Bookout is already mom to son Bentley, nine, from a previous relationship with ex Ryan Edwards, and daughter Jayde, two, and son Maverick, 19 months, with McKinney. She told the producer that the miscarriage occurred within the past year.
Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9pm ET on MTV.
