Disney’s ‘That’s So Raven’ Spin-Off Is Really Happening!
A few years ago, The Disney Channel brought joy to our ’90s hearts when they revived Corey Matthews in the Boy Meets World spin-off Girl Meets World. Now they’re going back to the treasure trove of old-school TV with an updated version of That’s So Raven. The first rumors of a revamped Raven came in 2016, but today it’s official—and that’s not all.
The new series will be called Raven’s Home and two OG characters will be in the house (sorry). Raven Symone and Anneliese van der Pol will revive their roles as BFFs Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels. These days, the characters are divorced single mothers who share a home and help raise each others’ kids. It’s a plotline that promises to shed light on co-parenting and single motherhood, a first for The Disney Channel.

Along with the mainstays of That’s So Raven, Raven’s Home will feature four new actors as the children of Raven and Chelsea. Isaac Brown, of Black-ish, and Navia Robinson, who starred in Being Mary Jane, will play Raven’s twins, Booker and Nia. Chelsea’s son will be played by Jason Maybaum. Sky Katz from America’s Got Talent will round out the cast as Nia’s best friend.
The series will air later this year, though no exact date has been released. Excuse us while we clear our calendars.
