The Bedford Bag is 3 Bags in One!
We're always on the hunt for the perfect do-it-all bag. Whether you're a dude trying to upgrade from your worn out hunter green Jansport or a gal hoping to score a stylish purse that can actually hold your laptop and a pair of flats, it can be surprisingly difficult to find that perfect messenger bag, backpack, or tote.
Or how about finding all three in one? Thanks to Brooklyn designer Julie Pinzer of Mokuyubi Threads and Kickstarter, your dreams just might come true.
The Bedford Bag is a backpack, over the shoulder (messenger-style) bag, and a tote that reminds us of a super cheery briefcase. If your morning has you lugging around your computer, a change of clothes and a few books, go for the backpack. When you head to that afternoon meeting with potential investors and don't want to look too much like a 6th grader, quickly transform it into a shoulder bag. And when you finally make to happy hour, zip all those straps up and carry it as a simple tote.
As of now, the bag is available in two solid colors and two playful prints. If you pledge $130 on Kickstarter, this 3-in-one bag will make its way to your doorstep as early as September 2012, cleverly coinciding with the start of the school year. Check out the video below for a little more about how, why, and where The Bedford Bag is made.
In the front pocket, you can fit all your small essentials like sunglasses, keys, your phone and wallet. The main pocket boasts a sleek padded laptop pocket, designed to fit just about any size laptop you've got.
We think this bag would be an absolutely perfect travel bag. It can fit everything you might need on the plane, and the convertible quality means you'll be comfortable carrying it through security, onto the plane, and even hanging it on the door of the bathroom during your layover.
We look forward to more colors and prints showing up as The Bedford Bag launches into production. If you love this bag as much as we do, be sure to head over to Kickstarter to show your support.
