The Best Makeup for Your Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius Edition
Sagittarius, it’s your special month, and how excited are we to go all out for our final beauty look in our zodiac beauty series. Last month I got to rep Scorpio with a purple smoldering smokey eye paired with a pretty pout. This month, our very own creative director Anj (and soon-to-come baby girl Temple) stepped into the hot seat to showcase a very playful, yet approachable multi-toned cat eye. Read on for the low-down on this sassy Sag look.

Sagittarius is best known for being an extrovert that delivers nothing less than an optimistic, go-getter vibe. When she sets her mind on a goal, she does what it takes to manifest it into reality. As the sign of the Archer, she possesses the ability to spontaneously travel the world while simultaneously staying grounded. When it comes to this vixen’s beauty routine, she’ll be the one who goes there with a multi-toned cat eye in shades of blue and green paired with a soft berry holographic lip and glowing cheeks.

to get your base makeup on. Because we’re going with a more dramatic eye, it’s important to make sure that your surrounding eye area is smooth and bright to create the perfect canvas for a multi-colored cat eye. You’ll be as obsessed as we are with Bodyography Cover + Correct Concealer ($30). Apply the color-correcting top first and then the cover top second. Get the Look For Sagittarius: Three-toned Cat Eye Paired With A Soft Berry Holographic Lip + Glowing Cheeks
Step 1: Cat Eye in Shades of Blue + Green: Line the inside corners of your eyes and the upper lash line with a bright green eyeliner like NYX Cosmetics Vivid Brights Eyeliner in Vivid Escape ($7). Then blend the upper lash outside and inside corners, as well as the lower lash line in the center, using a metallic teal liner like Nicka K Shimmer Eyeliner in Blue ($5). To finish the liner look, apply a forest green liner like Makeup Forever Aqua XL Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner in Iridescent Pop Green ($21) to the outside lower lashline.
Step 2: Holographic Berry Lip: First dab a light layer of a berry lipstick like TreStique Matte Lip Crayon in Belize Bordeaux ($50) (which is from their holiday mini lip gift set) to your lips using your finger. Then apply a light layer of Sigma Beauty Lip Switch in Double Whammy — which is currently sold out, but should be back on the market soon.
Step 3: Glowing Cheeks: For this look, we decided to double down on the highlighter with a little hack. Lay a light layer of sheer shimmering lip gloss like Maria Shireen Forever Lipstick in Veil Pink ($25) on your upper cheekbones and slightly onto your temples. This works best if you use your finger or a flat foundation brush to tap it lightly on top of your skin. Then layer a shimmering powder highlighter over the top of that. The double down will give you an extra-luminous finish.
Final Touches: Mascara Up: Curl your lashes and apply a couple of coats of your favorite mascara!
