The New Amanda Knox Trailer Explains Exactly Why It’ll Be So Gripping
It seems we can’t get enough these days of IRL mysteries in the vein of Making a Murderer and The Case of JonBenet Ramsey. Case in point: the story of Amanda Knox. In the first peek we were given from Netflix, we were asked if we suspect her or believe her. Now, in the new trailer looking at the investigation involving the American student and her murdered roommate, Amanda herself explains why she is the ultimate figure to fear.
Focusing on the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher, which saw Amanda Knox spend four years in jail before being exonerated and freed, the documentary wades through the differing perspectives, contradictory evidence and controversy, flashing headlines like “Foxy Knoxy” and “Orgy of Death.”
With Amanda speaking for herself, she tells us that she’s either a “sheep in wolf’s clothing” (i.e. an unfeeling killer who got away with it) or she’s an innocent person who was wrongly accused of a crime, which really, could be any of us at any moment. *chills*
Though she’s surely trying to convince us of the latter and gain sympathy for what she went through in her nightmarish situation, the same steely detachment that first had investigators questioning Amanda’s behavior stares into the camera and pulls us right into this headline-driving case.
Take a peek at the trailer now to prep for Amanda Knox coming to Netflix on September 30.
