These Stylish Portugal Nuptials Are a Destination Wedding Dream
The 2017 wedding buzz grows day by day, and with it comes sooo many important decisions to make: What style of dress will you wear? Will you cut cakes or pies? What amazing projects can you DIY? And possibly the most important question — where will you seal that sweet, sweet deal? If you’re debating taking the destination wedding route then there’s really nothing like some gorgeous photography to get your planning wheels turning! Take these two sweet romantics who held their celebration in Portugal. Ana and Tiago tied the knot in Monte Amarelo and their special day was captured perfectly by their friends at Passionate Wedding Photography.
The couple created a bohemian style outdoor ceremony with an intimate marquee reception and featured Ana’s fave flower, the protea. Twinkling lights, long floral-adorned tables, greenery and candlesticks created a luxe yet relaxed vibe with rich tones and loads of texture. Ana was effortlessly stunning in her Pronovias wedding dress, while Tiago was perfectly suave in black tie.
Ana says: “We met through my best friend and maid of honor, Ana Luisa, and I think she thought that [Tiago and I] being so different would complement one another. She was right! We fell in love, and after two years he popped the question!”
“Our theme was Bohemian Chic. [We used a] mint green, pink quartz, gold, black and white [color palette]. Our wedding in three words? Different, relaxed, classy.”
“We chose an outdoor [venue] with green space, and created what we had in mind — long tables, tent, lights hanging and [an outside] dance floor. Suki (our four-legged daughter) deliver[ed] the wedding rings and [we] had amazing food!”
“We had a formal sit-down meal with pumpkin cream soup, roasted cod served with sweet potato and vegetables and stuffed chicken drumsticks with figs. We had a candy buffet and three different wedding cakes.”
