This Dating App Will Find Your Soulmate Based Off of What You Both Hate
You know those compatibility tests that match you to your future soulmate based on how much you have in common? Well, forget bonding over your passion for sci-fi movies — a new dating app wants to find you love based on what you can’t stand. In fact, a series of studies found that people tend to bond more strongly over a shared hatred of something than a shared love. That’s where Hater — the Tinder for haters, if you will — comes in.
The app allows you to “meet someone who hates the same stuff,” and we’re already intrigued. You’re not swiping left or right on a person — just your mutual deal breakers. How it works is pretty simple: Swipe up for love, down for hate, right for like and left for dislike. You can also tap on the right side of the image to skip the topic if you don’t really have an opinion one way or the other.
Aside from all that, it works pretty much the same way as Tinder. If you download the beta now, you can start making decisions about topics and be ready to start swiping on people (there aren’t many yet) when the full app goes live on the 8th!
