This Is the Unexpected Way Donald Trump Is Helping This Popular ’80s Tune Make a Comeback
Boy, did Donald Trump open a “nasty” can of worms!
The Republican nominee’s now infamous “nasty woman” insult from Wednesday night’s final presidential debate has officially gone viral, with women turning it into a hashtag-worthy compliment and Hillary’s own daughter, Chelsea, even weighing in on the remark.
Yet, for all the unexpected repercussions that have come of the would-be cheap shot, this has GOT to “trump” them all.
Spotify is now reporting that Janet Jackson’s 1986 classic hit, “Nasty,” has been getting some extra play this week — make that a lot of extra play, in fact: The song has seen a streaming surge of more than 250%.
Okay, seriously? That’s kinddddd of amazing.
And if the news of this surge of ’80s streams wasn’t amusing enough, someone has even gone to the extra trouble of inserting Trump himself into the song: Check it out here.
Maybe Donald J. Trump should have called her "Ms Clinton." https://uproxx.it/2ew3maY
