This Man’s Super Sweet Airport Proposal Will Make You Swoon
Come this time of year, there’s puh-LENTY of adorable engagement stories to be shared (the dream gelato proposal, anyone?) — ‘tis the season, after all! — but none touched our hearts quite so much as that of the romantic tale of Evan and Elizabeth.
As of this a.m., the two became hitched when aviation worker Elizabeth got a huge surprise at the baggage claim area. In lieu of her luggage (which we’re sure she also later received, as it was bound to be full of travel essentials), her student pilot boyfriend Evan popped out on the carousel, strumming the guitar he had in tow.
His aim? To make Elizabeth his fiancée. After shocking her with his appearance, Evan stepped off the carousel to greet her, asking her to marry him.
Sheesh! Is this a RL scene straight out of a rom-com or WHAT?
Needless to say, she said yes, and the Akron-Canton airport managed to capture — and post — their special moment for all of our viewing pleasure.

“Love is in the air here at CAK,” the airport wrote on Instagram. “Evan coordinated with our @united team to propose to his girlfriend Elizabeth, who of course said yes! What makes this even more aw-worthy is that both are aviation enthusiasts: Evan is a student pilot and Elizabeth is working on the Beoing 777x in Seattle! Congrats you two.”
Wow. We can’t think of a more perfect way to kick off the holidays!
