This McDonald’s Pop-Up Is Dedicated to This One Popular Menu Item
Our friends Down Under have always done things a bit differently — from their non-traditional wedding dresses to their left-side-of-the-road driving habits, the Aussies march to the beat of their own drum. To offer you further proof, they now have a McDonald’s (Macca’s, as it’s known to them; they also call Burger King Hungry Jack’s (!)) that serves only… French fries?
Yep, you read that right — no Big Macs to be found here! But don’t be fooled! The pop-up, closing after today and aptly dubbed Fries With That, doesn’t serve just any old standard, all-you-can-eat fries, or even the dessert fries found in Japan.
Instead, the fast-food chain is serving up six types of deluxe fry concoctions that include chipotle cheese, gravy (pictured), Peri Peri cheese, sweet chili and sour cream, pesto mayo and parmesan and bacon parmesan cheddar.
The company’s director of marketing, Jo Feeney, told Popsugar that “Since we first opened our doors, customers have loved our Macca’s fries — they’re one of our icons and we think they deserve to be celebrated.” She went on to explain the decision, saying, “What better way to do that than to create a dedicated concept store?”

So why so short-lived, then? The fries that customers try through the end of the day will actually be voted on in an effort to get their favorite dish permanently on the menu.
Hmmm. We’re kind of jealous, TBH. How about overseas, guys? Can we place our vote to send some loaded fries here?
Which fry combo would you vote for? Tell us over @BritandCo!
