This Star Got Engaged in a Starbucks (and There’s a Super Sweet Video)
When it’s time to propose, some folks decide a romantic movie-like setting, like visiting a museum and getting down on one knee in the pouring rain, is the best way to pop the question. Others go for a personal touch (e.g. a swoon-worthy bookworm dream proposal), while some decide to go back to the place where it all started… which is what Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese opted for. It just so happens that he met the love of his life in a Starbucks, so back to Starbucks he went to ask for his love’s hand in marriage. And there’s a super sweet video of the entire thing!
38-year-old Daniel, who played Damian in Mean Girls, met his partner Joseph Bradley Phillips at the local Starbucks one joyful day. Two years down the road, the happy pair was back, but this time for a very different reason. Yep, to get engaged… though only one of them knew what was up.
Daniel set up the special surprise for Joseph, with even the baristas in on the plan. Public proposals always add a little extra pressure (no one wants to be turned down in front of a crowd), but thankfully, everything went smoothly and — OMG — so sweet!
Watch the swoon-worthy proposal below.
