The Way Fashion Editors Treated Tiffany Trump at NYFW Is NOT Okay
The Trump family continues to feel the effects of President Donald Trump’s controversial presidency, and the whole sitch is getting pretty darn nasty. While multiple retailers drop Ivanka’s brand and folks continue to shame Melania, it seems like no one is off-limits. Even 10-year-old Barron has become a target. And now the youngest Trump daughter, 23-year-old Tiffany Trump, is also feeling the heat after being VERY publicly shunned by fashion editors at NYFW.
Where you sit and who you sit with at fashion shows can be just as important as the styles that are shown on the runway. Whoever you’re around and mingling with can be a statement about who you’re connecting yourself (and your brand) to. That’s why editors who were attending the Philipp Plein show on Monday were more than a little reluctant to sit beside Tiffany Trump.
In fact, they didn’t want to sit near her… AT ALL.

Nobody wants to sit next to Tiffany Trump at Philipp Plein, so they moved and the seats by her are empty. pic.twitter.com/XcxNYI6Kf8

Those who were slotted in the seats both next to her and behind her moved and no one was willing to take their places. “Phillip Plein at 10PM: 1 hour late start, editors fleeing just so they don’t have to sit behind Tiffany Trump,” was tweeted, along with folks sharing pics of Tiffany with empty spots beside her.
Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg I'd love to sit with you too! 😊

Though there is at least one person who’s willing to be seen with Tiffany, as Whoopi Goldberg offered to be her seatmate in the future. The Trump daughter was definitely grateful, tweeting a reply accepting the invitation.
It’s hard to blame fashion editors for feeling the need to protect their own brands/careers during these turbulent times, but still, anyone else getting very high school-ish (possibly Mean Girls-esque) vibes from this sitch?
