Time to Rethink Your Bridal Look: J.Crew Is Discontinuing Their Bridal Line
Anyone who’s slightly obsessed with their future wedding can tell you that one of the biggest decisions a bride-to-be has to make is what her bridal party will look like. For years, one of the most coveted bridal looks has been the J.Crew bridal line. If you have yet to plan your wedding or even pick your dress out, now might be your last chance to get in on the Pinterest-worthy J.Crew look.
In a surprise announcement today, J.Crew announced that they would be discontinuing their bridal line. Emailing with Bloomberg, spokesperson Margaret Fooshee confirmed the change, saying that the company would like to “focus on what women like to wear to someone else’s wedding, versus what they would wear to their own.”
This news comes after many missteps by the fashion house that have led the brand to lose over eight percent of sales in the last year. After a few style changes and increasing prices have driven many J.Crew die-hards away from the brand, this wedding dress news couldn’t come at a worse time.
As a plus, however, any stock left at J.Crew stores is currently discounted by up to 70 percent, so it might not be a bad idea to snag that dream dress while you still can.
