The New ‘Toy Story 4’ Teaser Hints at Some Trouble for Buzz Lightyear

The Super Bowl is known as much for the commercials that air during the broadcast as it is for the big game, and this year, Pixar’s Toy Story 4 got in on the action, releasing a new teaser for the upcoming flick that shows Buzz Lightyear getting into some trouble with a couple of new characters.
In the short clip, Woody and a fierce-looking Bo Peep meet up at what looks to be a carnival as they wonder where their old friend Buzz Lightyear could be.
“Is Buzz going to meet us here?” Bo Peep asks Woody, who replies, “He must be held up somewhere.”
The clip then cuts to Buzz being literally held up — that is, fastened with a plastic zip tie onto the prize wall behind a game booth at the fair. And he’s not alone: New characters Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele) are also there, and they’re not happy to have competition for top prize.
“Hey, up here, Astroboy,” Ducky taunts him. Bunny then pipes in: “If you think you can take our top prize spot, you’re wrong.”
Buzz assures the duo he doesn’t want to be there and asks them for help getting down. “Oh, I’ll help you. With my foot,” Ducky says, kicking Buzz in the head. “To infinity and my foot!”
Ducky and Bunny aren’t the only new characters joining the beloved franchise for part four. The first teaser, released in November 2018, introduced newcomer Forky, a fork with googly eyes and pipe-cleaner arms and legs, voiced by Tony Hale.
Toy Story 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 21, 2019.
