Are you ready for this? Now you can send mail… to toys! WHAT. Yep, it’s true. We’ve discovered the coolest toys ever. Introducing Toymail, an app that lets you send messages from your phone to oh-so-adorable toys. Read on to get the full story!
Meet the Toymail Mailmen: Snort, Fairfax, Buck, Rochester, and Milksop—Bushwick is coming in 2014. They deliver your messages to your kids. Whenever you want to deliver “mail,” you simply record your message on your phone, press send, and your child’s smart toy will repeat your message out loud. You can choose to use one of the toy’s silly voice filters, or your own.
The toys snort or growl (or use another animal noise) to let your child know when they have a message. Then, he or she can send a message back to your phone by talking to their toy. Think of it as a walkie talkie… but way cuter. Is anyone else a little bit jealous that we didn’t have WIFI enabled toys growing up? These are SO COOL.
Toymail is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter and the first Mailmen will ship out in December 2013—just in time for the holidays! We’re totally on board with this simple and fun technology. Plus, it’s not an isolating app (like many are these days). Oh, and you can send Toymail from anywhere in the world, so it’s easy to stay connected to your loved ones. Big win.
