She has bylines at Motherly, The Everymom, and Byrdie where she wrote about motherhood, beauty, health and relationships. Jasmine knew she wanted to be a writer when she realized she was actually interested in reading the articles in her mom's favorite magazines — and she may or may not have ripped her favorite articles out to study them later. When she's not working, you can find Jasmine playing make-believe with her toddler, spending an undisclosed amount of time in Target or TJ Maxx, and searching for a family-friendly puppy to add to her family.
While news articles keep popping up about global declining birth rates, that certainly hasn't stopped people from thinking about trending baby names. Personally, I'm still interested in having more children even if I plan on spacing out how often I conceive and give birth (the postpartum stage was NO joke for me). But, I can tell you that my S.O. and I have already spent time giddily deciding on baby names for our future bundles of joy.
For anyone who's recently decided they want to become parents or are interesting in TTC (trying to conceive), I can tell you that being on the same page about your baby's name feels like sheer joy. At first glance this sounds silly, but I changed my tune when my S.O. and I agreed on our son's name. It even felt like little one responded to that name the most out of everything we tried to call him during my second trimester.
Since it can take some time to find what feels perfect, I've rounded up a list of Google's top trending baby names in 2024 so far — plus a few trending middle names while I'm at it! Keep reading for all the baby name inspo you need this year!

Freya (Fray-ya)
I've loved the name Freya ever since I watched The Huntsmans: Winter's War, and saw how Emily Blunt took on her character's personality.
It's a Nordic name that's inspired by the mythological goddess Freyja. This noble goddess represents beautiful things like love and fertility, but she also tended to the battlefield. With a name like Freya, your sweet princess is sure to be as noble as she is beautiful.

Aria (Are-ia)
If you name your daughter Aria, you may have a little songbird on your hands. This is one of the top trending names that translates to "solo melody" and originates in Italy. However, it also means "lion of God" in Hebrew which is a clear indicator that your baby girl shouldn't be underestimated with this name.

Ezra
In Christianity, the prophet Ezra scribed a book in the Old Testament of the bible named after himself. According to scripture, he accomplished great things like rebuilding a city in Jerusalem for exiled Israelites and remains highly respected to this day.
Should you name your son Ezra, he'll most likely have a genuinely supportive nature that warms the hearts of those he meets.

Asher
Asher is also a Hebrew name that quite literally means 'blessed' or 'happy.' Come to think of it, I've been fortunate to meet an Asher before and can remember how cheerful he was. It was almost like he wouldn't know how to stop smiling even if he wanted to.
I'd definitely write this name down for my future son!
