DIY Ice Bucket
Materials and Tools:
- adhesive foam sheets (assorted colors)
- 2 faux palm leaves
- 2 bundles of embroidery floss
- scissors
- foam brush
- clear acrylic ice bucket
- all-in-one glue, sealer, and finish
Instructions:
First up, add a pop of color to this ice bucket by wrapping the handles with embroidery floss. It’s time to tap back into that childhood knowledge of friendship-bracelet making for this one. Tie a loop around one end of the handle, and then, use a series of forward knots to create a seam that wraps around the handle. Once you’ve made it across the handle, tie the string off and cut.
Next up, add your tropical flair with these palm leaves. Position your leaf where you want it and cut off any access. Adhere to the ice bucket with your glue and sealer using one coat directly on the back side of the leaf. And then, apply another thin layer over the leaf once it’s on the ice bucket.
You’ll also want to seal your handles with the glue and sealer to keep them in place and water resistant.
Lastly, you’ll want to add A LOT of colorful flavor. Cut out your foam adhesive sheets into different, energetic shapes and sizes. Get creative on your layout for a totally original masterpiece.
If that doesn’t look like a party waiting to happen, we don’t know what does!
The only step left is adding ice and topping it with a bottle of your favorite rosé. Want to find out how to really take this ice bucket to the next level? Throw the ultimate summer brunch, like this one.
