TV BFFs Who Make Every Day Feel Like Galentine’s Day

We ship a lot of incredible TV couples, but sometimes the best relationships on a show have nothing to do with romance. In honor of Galentine's Day, we're celebrating some of our favorite female friendships on some of our all-time favorite series. Click through to see the BFFs we love like our own. Ann and Leslie, Parks and Recreation: Galentine's Day wouldn't exist without Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and, by extension, her BFF Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones). (Leslie's version was like "Lilith Fair minus the angst and plus frittatas.") No best friend was more supportive — or gave better, weirder compliments — than Leslie. And Ann more than returned the favor. (Photo via Danny Feld/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images)
Abbi and Ilana, Broad City: Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) and Ilana (Ilana Glazer) are the ultimate partners in crime — sometimes literally. They take friendship to hilariously extreme lengths and can make anything fun, as long as they're together. We're as obsessed with them as they are with each other. Meredith and Cristina, Grey's Anatomy: Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina (Sandra Oh) were there for each other through the worst of times — we're talking plane crashes, mass shootings, ferry accidents, and, of course, heartbreak. Cristina was Mer's "person," and vice versa. And that's all any of us can really ask for. (Photo via Ron Tom/ABC via Getty Images)
Issa and Molly, Insecure: Issa (Issa Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Oroji) keep each other in check — they know when to be supportive, when to call each other out, and how to do both at the same time. (Photo via Justina Mintz/HBO)
Phoebe, Monica, and Rachel, Friends: Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and Jennifer Aniston gave us a lot of laughs in 10 seasons of Friends, whether they were hanging out on the couch in wedding dresses, gossiping over coffee at Central Perk, or supporting each other through the big moments (like Monica's wedding and Rachel's surprise pregnancy). Rory and Lane, Gilmore Girls: Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lane (Keiko Agena) are the rare childhood besties who stayed close through adolescence, college, and now adulthood. They can spend months apart and still pick up right where they left off the last time they saw each other. It's a comfort that only comes with knowing someone your whole life. Lorelai and Rory, Gilmore Girls: Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is Rory's mother, yes, but she's also Rory's best friend. They practically have their own language. (It involves talking really fast and rattling off oblique pop culture references in rapid succession, obviously.) (Photo via Saeed Adyani/Netflix)
Ali, Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer, Pretty Little Liars: Nothing brings a group of friends together like an anonymous stalker. These five — Ali (Sasha Pieterse), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) — have weathered it all, from kidnapping to death (and everything in between), and they're better friends because of it. Jess and Cece, New Girl: Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Cece (Hannah Simone) have a lot of history between them — they've seen each other through awkward phases, bad relationships, good relationships with bad breakups, career milestones, career setbacks, and (particularly in Jess' case) more than a little family drama. (Who can forget that ill-fated "parent trap" scheme?) After all these years, though, they still have so much fun together. (Photo via Ray Mickshaw/Fox)
Kimmy, DJ, and Stephanie, Fuller House: More than 30 years after they first graced our screens, Kimmy (Andrea Barber), DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), and Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) are closer than ever. She-Wolves for life! (Photo via Mike Yarish/Netflix)
Grace and Frankie, Grace and Frankie: Jane Fonda's Grace and Lily Tomlin's Frankie are total opposites, but that's kind of why their friendship works. Lisa Kudrow's character pretty much summed it up in season 4, when she asked, "Do you two know how lucky you are to have each other?" They do. (Photo via Melissa Moseley/Netflix)
Liza, Kelsey, Maggie, and Lauren, Younger: Liza (Sutton Foster) lied to Kelsey (Hilary Duff) for a long time. And she's still lying to Lauren (Molly Bernard). But their love for and loyalty to each other is very real. As is Liza's devotion to her main BFF, Maggie (Debi Mazar), who took Liza in when she had nowhere else to go and has seen her through *A LOT* over the past four seasons. (Photo via TV Land)
Lily and Robin, How I Met Your Mother: Contrary to its name, HIMYM wasn't really a show about a romance — it was a show about friendship. Robin (Cobie Smulders) may have started (and ended) as a love interest for Ted (Josh Radnor), but her role in the group was so much bigger than that, especially where her relationship with Lily (Alyson Hannigan) was concerned. Jessica and Honey, Fresh Off the Boat: Jessica (Constance Wu) and Honey (Chelsey Crisp) don't always see eye-to-eye, but they have each other's backs when it comes to the important stuff. And they're pretty good about (eventually) talking through their issues — even if they sometimes do it at inopportune moments, like in the middle of an appearance on Wheel of Fortune. Sophia, Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose, The Golden Girls: Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan, and Betty White were #squadgoals before #squadgoals were even a thing. Even their theme song was all about friendship. Thank you for being a friend, Golden Girls. (Photo via Paul Drinkwater/NBCU Photo Bank)
