The 15 Best TV Shows Based On Books To Watch In 2024
Chloe Williams serves as B+C’s Entertainment Editor and resident Taylor Swift expert. Whether she’s writing a movie review or interviewing the stars of the latest hit show, Chloe loves exploring why stories inspire us. You can see her work published in BuzzFeed, Coastal Review, and North Beach Sun. When she’s not writing, Chloe’s probably watching a Marvel movie with a cherry coke or texting her sister about the latest celebrity news. Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans — On Hulu February 1
This new TV show offers the kind of drama you crave at 11 pm on a weeknight. This series from American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy takes the idea of a Real Housewives feud to the next level by exploring what happened between Truman Capote and influential women that surrounded him. And the character's style is just the cherry on top if you ask me.
Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans premieres on FX January 31 and is available to stream on Hulu starting February 1. The series stars Tom Hollander, Naomi Watts, Treat Williams, Chloë Sevigny, Diane Lane, Molly Ringwald, Calista Flockhart, and Demi Moore. Talk about a stacked cast!

One Day — On Netflix February 8
Get ready to be absolutely devastated (in the best way) by One Day. It's one of those stories that never really leaves you, and it's great for any of my fellow friends-to-lovers fanatics. The story follows Emma and Dexter, who meet on the night of their graduation, and agree to meet up on the same day next year, and the year after that, and the year after that.
One Day hits Netflix February 8 and stars Ambika Mod, Leo Woodall, Essie Davis, Amber Grappy, Tim McInnerny, Joely Richardson, Toby Stephens, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jonny Weldon.

We Were The Lucky Ones — On Hulu March 28
Period dramas are one of my favorite types of stories because they totally immerse us in another time, bringing the events we read on paper to life. This limited series (which is based on the author's real family!) follows the Kurc family as they fight their way back together after World War II splits them up.
We Were The Lucky Ones hits Hulu March 28 and stars Joey King, Logan Lerman, Lior Ashkenazi, Robin Weigert, and Amit Rahav.

Bridgerton Season 3 — Part 1 On Netflix May 16
Y'all know I am *ready* to return to the world of Bridgerton, especially knowing season 3 is going to finally give us some reward for all the Colin and Penelope drama we've endured for four years. (Please Netflix, I'm begging you!). The next season of the hit show will find Penelope trying to accept that Colin doesn't love her, and Colin finally realizing he actually does.
You can watch the first part of Bridgerton season 3 on Netflix May 16. The series stars Nicola Coughlan, Luke Newton, Simone Ashley, Jonathan Bailey, Luke Thompson, Hannah Dodd, Florence Hunt, and Will Tilston.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 — On Prime In 2024
After all the drama in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2, I absolutely need the next season ASAP. I have so many questions about what's going to happen between Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah. But I guess until then, I'll just rewatch Steven and Taylor dancing to Frank Ocean's cover of "Moon River"...again.
The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2 will be on Prime Video in 2024, and will star Lola Tung, Chris Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, Jackie Chung, and (hopefully) Rachel Blanchard.

Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 — On Hulu In 2024
Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 was never actually supposed to happen. The first season was intended to be a limited series, but it was so popular, Hulu renewed it! That means the new installment will be just as juicy as season 1 — if not more.
Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 is coming to Hulu and stars Murray Bartlett, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Dolly De Leon, Aras Aydin, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, King Princess, and Lucas Englander.

Fourth Wing — On Amazon Soon
The BookTok-viral Fourth Wingfollows Violet, who has trained her whole life to be a Basgiath War College scribe. But instead of getting the opportunity to document the history around her, she's recruited as a dragon rider...which means now she's fighting right alongside her classmates.
Fourth Wing is coming to Amazon soon. We'll update the cast list once we know more, but we'd *love* to see names like Tyler Zakhar Perez, Cody Christian, and Odeya Rush attached.

Big Little Lies Season 3 — On Max Soon
Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman's Big Little Lies season 3 is in the works, and I, for one, am ready to go back to Monterey. We don't have many plot details but the cast has pointed out that one interesting development will be all the kids' growth. Because now, our favorite Five will be dealing with teens. Yikes.
Big Little Lies season 3 is coming to HBO and Max soon, and we're expecting to see Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoë Kravitz, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Kathryn Newton, Meryl Streep, Alexander Skarsgård, and Adam Scott return.

A Court Of Thorns And Roses — On Hulu Soon
A Court of Thorns and Roses isthe fantasy book that keeps on giving. Book lovers cannot get enough of this story, which follows the huntress Feyre, who's forced to live with the immortal faeries after killing a wolf in the woods. She starts to fall for both the Fae's world and the alluring Tamlin, but as a dark shadow grows, Feyre realizes it's up to her to save them all.
A Court of Thorns and Roses is coming to Hulu soon, and while we don't have an official cast yet, I wouldn't be opposed to fancasts like Thomas Doherty, Theo James, and Katherine Langford.

The Morning Show Season 4 — On Apple TV+ Soon
The Morning Showseason 4 will hopefully answer some of my #MostImportantQuestions, like what's going to happen to Bradley, and what in the world is going to happen to the UBA staff after the merger? This workroom drama feels far from over and I can't wait for more.
The Morning Show season 4 is coming to Apple TV+, and will star Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and potentially Pedro Pascal too.

Lessons In Chemistry — On Apple TV+ Now
Lessons in Chemistry brings together drama, romance, suspense, and history in a way that I have never seen before. The series follows Elizabeth Zott, who dreams of being a scientist, but is constantly held back by the restrictions of the 1950s (and the men around her) until a position as a TV cooking show host gives her the audience she's never had. The series captivated our whole team and I could not recommend it enough!
Lessons in Chemistry is available on Apple TV+ and stars Brie Larson, Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Riann Wilson, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann.

Daisy Jones & The Six — On Prime Video Now
Daisy Jones & The Six follows the titular (fictional) band during their whirlwind 1970s career. My Roman Empire is that the story is loosely based on Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac! Trust me, you'll love the fashion, the friendships, and the songs.
Daisy Jones & The Six is available on Prime and stars Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Suki Waterhouse, Nabiyah Be, Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse, and Camila Morrone.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians Season 1 — On Disney+ Now
Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians captures the colorful, energetic wonder you have as a kid. While it has the magical adventure of my favorite '00s stories, it stays grounded in the real world, which only reinforces my belief that there really could be magic around any corner. The series follows Percy, Annabeth, and Grover on a quest to retrieve Zeus' master lightning bolt before he begins a war that would change the world forever.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is available on Disney+ and stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Toby Stephens Virginia Kull, Dior Goodjohn, Glynn Turman, the late Lance Reddick, Adam Copeland, and Charlie Bushnell.

The Buccaneers Season 1 — On Apple TV+ Now
The Buccaneers has all my favorite tropes: sisters, will-they-won't-they-romance, and women running around in beautiful dresses. The story is all about a group of American girls bringing their fervor and independence to 1800s England, which leads to a lot of unhappy adults and confused men.
The Buccaneers is on Apple TV+ now and stars Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Mia Threapleton, Christina Hendricks, Josh Dylan, Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, and Barney Fishwick.

Sullivan's Crossing Season 1 — On The CW App Now
Sullivan's Crossing has all the cozy small town vibes we love in Gilmore Girls (not to mention Chad Michael Murray and Luke Patterson) just with higher stakes. The show follows Boston neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan, who moves back to Sullivan's Crossing after her business partner is arrested for fraud.
Sullivan's Crossing is available on The CW app and stars Morgan Kohan, Scott Patterson, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Jackson, and Andrea Menard.
