This Is the Ultimate “Say Bye to Summer” Sangria
Sangria: The classic Spanish cocktail that thankfully must be ordered by the pitcher! Why not make it at home with our recipe for the Ultimate Sangria? We’re kicking it up a notch with triple sec and brandy, then giving it a refreshing spice kick with a large splash of ginger ale. One sip and you’ll agree that this is the only sangria recipe you need this summer.
Ingredients:
– 1 lemon
– 1 orange
– 3 tablespoons brown sugar
– 2 ounces triple sec
– 1 ounce brandy
– ½ cup (120ml ) pineapple juice
– ¾ cup (180 ml) orange juice
– 1 cup (240 ml) ginger ale
– 1 bottle red wine
Directions:
- Slice the lemon and orange into thin pieces.
- Place the sugar, triple sec and brandy in a large jug and mix with a spoon.
- Add the pineapple juice, orange juice, ginger ale, lemon and orange slices, and stir.
- Add the red wine and stir again. Leave to sit for an hour or two to allow the flavors to develop, then serve over ice.
