Uniqlo’s Newest Collab Is All About Disney
Disney has proven to be an inspiration in every industry from art, to wedding planning to fashion. Lauren Conrad’s recent Kohl’s collection was inspired by Minnie Mouse, Vans teamed up with the mega company for a line of shoes and now Uniqlo is launching an extensive line that will feature artwork from Disney.
Uniqlo has been collaborating with Disney since 2009, but the two are taking their relationship to the next level with their upcoming collection. The collaboration will be created into a new line called “Magic For All.” The line will include fleeces, flannel shirts, umbrellas, plush toys and more – all of which will come in at those beloved Uniqlo prices. You’ll be able to spot characters from most of your favorite flicks including: Star Wars, Toy Story, Frozen and The Little Mermaid. And of course, there will be an abundant amount of Mickey and Minnie themed items.
While some of the pieces look like what you’d expect from a line of Disney related goods (i.e. a beloved character screen-printed on the front), some take a more fashionable angle. One shirt features a Mickey-shaped pepperoni pizza, another offers a minimal take on all the Disney princesses.
All the pieces from the “Magic For All” collection made their initial debut at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA a few days ago. Uniqlo is also working on a dedicated concept store at its global flagship in Shanghai, which will have an entire floor dedicated to the collab. The line is set to hit stores toward the end of September.
