US Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team Is Giving Taylor Swift’s #GirlSquad a Run for Their Money

Taylor Swift’s #girlsquad may seem like the epitome of besties, but if you’ve been watching the Rio Olympics, along with loving Aly Raisman’s parents’ nervous in-seat gymnastics, you’ll know that Aly and her tumbling pals are giving Tay’s squad a run for their money. The US Olympic women’s gymnastics team has caught the world’s attention with their close bonds and total #girlsquadgoals. From bunking together in camp-like rooms to meeting their idols to, y’know, competing in the top athletic games on the planet, these girls are having the time of their lives — together.

Simone Biles (19), Gabby Douglas (20), Aly Raisman (22), Laurie Hernandez (16) and Madison Kocian (19) make up this year’s US girls gymnastics team and, along with their fierce performances, are living their best lives in Rio.

Getting a glimpse of what is surely the best trip of their lives, posts on the gals’ Instagram and Twitter accounts have captured every awesome step as the ladies form everlasting friendships.

With posts like Aly Raisman’s “So cute. Always giggling. Love these girls. That’s @lauriehernandez_ making fun of my ‘model’ walk HAHAHA,” it’s clear that, though these ladies may be competing for top honors, they still know how to enjoy (and laugh at) themselves.

Hanging with celebs like Ryan Seacrest, as well as snapping pics with fellow Olympians like Michael Phelps, is all part of the experience for this #girlsquad.

Not to mention catching Kim K’s eye…

Simone responded with, “Thank You So Much!!! ☺️ by the way I’m obsessed with North! So adorable,” to which Kim replied, “She just started gymnastics! Maybe she can show you some moves?” Yes, please!

Straight up, though, these girls look like they’re at a super fun summer camp and it’s just so sweet.

Have fun, gals! And rock those mats. We’re cheering for you!
