DIY This Valentine’s Day Sweater in 5 Simple Steps
Since you’re already full of inspo for Valentine’s Day hairstyles and Valentine’s Day manis, it’s time to start thinking about the outfit that will make your Valentine’s Day date night perfect. So grab your scissors, choose a colorful fabric to work with and get ready to refurbish an old sweater and create the perfect flirty look for February 14. This no-sew project will only take you 10 minutes to make, and it’s easy as can be!
Materials and Tools:
- — sweater
- — felt
- — marker
- — fabric glue
- — pins
- — scissors
Instructions:
1. Fold your felt in half.
2. Draw half a heart as shown in the picture below. Then repeat with a second one.
3. Use the scissors to cut out the shapes.
4. Wear your sweater and place a pin where you want to glue the patch.
5. Use the fabric glue to adhere the heart patch in place, then repeat on the other sleeve. Let them dry and you’re done.
First, take your felt scrap and fold it in half, then draw half a heart shape like the one shown in the picture above. Repeat to create another heart and cut out your patches. With the sweater on, place a pin about half an inch above the elbow. Take the sweater off and glue the first patch. Repeat on the other side and let everything completely dry.
