Vanessa Hudgens’ Holographic Butterfly Cape at Coachella Will Mesmerize You

We saw a LOT of crazy celeb fashion at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2017, but Vanessa Hudgens just topped them all with the insanely cool getup she donned for the second weekend. In fact, she (basically) transformed into a gorgeous technicolor butterfly.

The Powerless star uploaded a video of herself dancing in a brightly colored Camilla Hani Honey Long Dress With Tie Front ($630), but it was her holographic butterfly cape that had us absolutely mesmerized.

And her vibrant look was just as stunning by moonlight. Hudgens posted a photo of herself on Instagram with a scarf wrapped around her head (that desert dust will get you!) and her wings outstretched. “Flying my way through Coachella,” she wrote.
Butterflies are something of a “thing” with Hudgens. She revealed to David Letterman back in 2011 while discussing her famous butterfly neck tattoo that the winged insect has special meaning to her. “A butterfly landed on my mum’s stomach a week before I was born,” she said. “And that’s how I got my name, because ‘Vanessa’ means butterfly — it’s a Latin derivative.”
Earlier in the weekend, the former High School Musical star rocked what appear to be a pair of colorful butterfly hair clips.
And last weekend, she was also spotted using another colorful Camilla maxi, the Flower House Full Hem Long Dress, ($700), as she was perched on a butterfly throne.
