Vans Just Hopped on the Athleisure Trend, and the Results Are Amazing
Vans has been killing it lately with their sweet collabs, like the recent one they did with designer Marc Jacobs. But up until now, the only type of footwear they served up was their trademark skater shoes. But in a move that’s sure to have Adidas and Nike quaking in their boots (no pun intended), Vans has entered the world of athleisure.
Meet the new Vans UltraRange ($80) sneakers. While the Vans company’s Iso line, including the Mesh Iso 1.5 ($70), Iso 2 Rapidweld ($85), and Prime Iso 2 ($80), has been online for a while, these babies are here to contend with other athleisure heavyweights like those It-Girl Stan Smiths.
The kicks feature the brand’s new “UltraCush Lite midsole compound offering the ultimate in comfort and durability, plus a LuxLiner sock-fit construction with seamless internals to reduce weight, rubbing, and hotspots.” They currently come in black and black, black and white, madder brown (a maroon hue), frost gray, and pearl (AKA millennial pink).
BRB, buying a pair in every color.
