Venus Williams’ US Open 2017 Outfits Score On and Off the Tennis Court
Venus Williams, how do we love thee; let us count the ways! Not only is Serena Williams‘ big sis a badass tennis star (ranked number nine in the world!!) with four Olympic gold medals, but now she’s released a new collection of athletic wear that she’ll be rocking in the upcoming US Open, which kicks off on August 28. Designing athleisure isn’t anything new for Williams — she actually has a degree in fashion design — but her latest looks for her EleVen by Venus are playful yet sophisticated and in prime position to ace the activewear style game.
Officially launched on August 22, the Epiphany line features bright colors, lively patterns, and plenty of practicality. The name came from the desire to celebrate every woman’s moment of enlightenment. Williams, 37, was inspired by the words “striking,” “confidence,” and “determination” during the design process from sketch to final testing of the garments.
Even if you’re not a racquet junkie, sporty gals of all kinds will appreciate a top that’s supportive and sweat-wicking like the Trapeze Tank ($64).
Dresses aren’t just for tennis anymore. Whether you’re out on a jog or getting your kick box on, the Pendulum Dress ($98) will keep you covered during high-intensity workouts.
Not US Open-bound? The Outskirt Capri ($72) will ensure you’re comfy during those downward dogs and even afterward at the grocery store.
