Victoria Beckham’s First Ad for Target Features a Spice Girls Classic
Has the lack of Target designer collaborations in recent months left you feeling sad and low? Well, get ready for more pep in your step, because Victoria Beckham X Target is almost here. Since it was announced back in October, Beckham’s been teasing it since, but it wasn’t until she posted the first ad on Instagram that we actually *lost* it. Trust us: This collection will take you where you want to go.
The ad features young mom and child models wearing bright, color-blocked pieces while that classic tune, “Spice Up Your Life,” plays in the background.
“I’m really proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls, but I’m also proud of everything I have done with my brand,” she told InStyle in her April cover story. She’s also said that the collection was inspired by her five-year-old daughter Harper. (Beckham also raises Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12, with husband David Beckham).
Beckham’s Target collab also includes a big first for her brand — designing children’s pieces. “I loved being able to try my hand at designing kids’,” Beckham told People. “A category I have been interested in for some time. I had such fun because I felt I could use my own personal experiences and tell a story through the clothes.”
She and Harper have already worn several pieces from the collection. “It has been a dream come true to design pieces that Harper can wear,” Posh said.
The VBxTarget collection will be available at Target beginning April 9.
