The Best Makeup for Your Zodiac Sign: Virgo Edition
Happy Birthday to you Virgo queens! Let’s celebrate with a Zodiac makeup profile that will inspire this month’s star-guided beauty look! Last time around, we took a walk on the wild side courtesy of our confident Leo, with a purple eye and nude lip. This month, our Virgo model babe is one of our talented designers, Rosee Canfield. Virgos are notorious for their meticulous attention to detail, which is why we chose this adorable look specifically for her, but able to be worn by all!
Virgo Beauty Profile
Let it be known that our Virgo vixens tend to have their eye on the prize, are hard working and will analyze the crap out of everything in order to come up with the most logical process to achieve whatever she desires. Virgo’s trademark artistic side coupled with her need to nurture creates the ideal balance needed to nail this unique graphic liner and lip-blend look. Her luminous skin and perfectly highlighted cheeks add a subtle drama to artsy eyes and custom bold berry pucker.
Follow our
for a flawless foundation to build the rest of this glowing look. The key component for radiant skin is a highlighter like Benefit Cosmetics Sun Beam Golden Bronze Complexion Highlighter ($26). Apply with a fan brush to your upper cheekbones, slightly over your blush, up onto your temples, down the bridge of your nose, on your brow bones and right above your cupid’s bow.Get the Look for Virgo: Subtle Graphic Eyeliner + Triple Threat Custom Berry Lip
Step 1 – Neutral Eyes + Subtle Graphic Liner: First, lightly contour the creases of your eyes with a neutral brown shadow like Buck from Urban Decay Naked Palette ($54). Then highlight the inside corners, brow bones and center of your eyelids with a shimmering cream shadow like Virgin in the same Naked palette. Finally, to get that graphic liner look, grab your favorite liquid liner pencil — I like Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner Pen in Black ($22). Instead of stopping the liner at your lash line, continue to apply slightly past the outer corner of your lid. You can use a Q-tip to swipe the inside edge vertically to get that sharp geometric shape.
Step 2 – Custom Triple Threat Berry Lip: What better way to find a signature lip color than to blend your own? For Rosee, we used three gorgeous lip hues and a lip brush to layer on this custom bold berry shade. The combo: Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Nayeon ($21) layered over Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipstick in Sorry Not Sorry ($22) topped with Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Rouge Berry ($26). The end result is a lush, complex color that is entirely unique — just like our Virgo beauties.
Finishing touches – Mascara + Brows: Curl your lashes and throw on a few coats of your favorite mascara. Then lightly fill in your brows with a color that matches your natural hue.
Goofy babe alert!
