Here Is the VMA Hair Trend You Can Copy in 1 Minute
The stunning hairstyles we see on the red carpet are usually backed by hours of preparation (with the exception of Beyoncé’s spontaneous Met Gala ponytail). But at last night’s VMAs we spotted one major hair trend that definitely doesn’t require a beauty team. In fact, All it really requires is a comb and some hairspray.
After we digested all those insane red carpet outfits we realized that multiple ladies were rocking an exaggerated side part. Greer Grammer, Arielle Vandenberg, Kelly Osbourne and Liz Hernandez were all sporting slightly different variations of the romantic look. While it caught our eye on Sunday night, this is a trend that has been making its way up the beauty spectrum for some time now. We spotted it at Fall Fashion Week as well as at Cannes Film Festival.
It’s no surprise that the look is gaining popularity, it’s a dramatic, yet non-permanent way to totally switch up your look. If you’re up for trying out the style here are a few things to keep in mind: When moving your part over a little more to one side, it works best when you start with wet hair. Use a texturizing spray to give your hair a little bit more hold. Create the new part using a comb and then use a blow dryer to make the new part stick. Style the rest of your hair however you want and finish off with a spritz of hairspray around the part to make sure it stays in place. You’re ready carpet ready in a matter of minutes.
