Warby Parker Just Released Some Seriously Glam Sunglasses
It may be getting darker earlier as we transition to cooler weather, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be wearing sunglasses all year round. UV rays don’t take a holiday, y’all! If you’re looking for a frame that will look fab with your cold weather wardrobe, Warby Parker just released its new line of sunnies — a collaboration with with luxury fashion brand Maiyet — and we guarantee these shades will pair perfectly with your new fall jacket.
A far cry from the mirrored lenses and hypercolored frames we wore all summer long, these oversized yet subtle cat eye frames are much more elegant, suited to stand up to fall’s heavy layers, but not in a boring way — they still exude a ton of personality. Crafted in Italy, the frames were made from a contrasting, dual-layered cellulose acetate, which is the process that created that unique, stepped detail. Named Bird in reference to their earth-toned hues, the oversized sunnies are available in three color schemes that prove neutrals can look super luxe – burnt honey with cream, black with striped oyster shell and reversed striped oyster shell and black frame.
In keeping in line with the brand’s mission, for every pair that is sold, Warby Parker will donate another pair of glasses to someone in need. Maiyet’s following suit, too: The brand will also donate a portion of the sales to Nest, a nonprofit that helps to develop and train artisan businesses. That makes the $145-a-pair accessories seem well worth it — for fall and beyond.
