We Finally Get to Find Out What Those Final Four Words on Gilmore Girls Are
Four is the magic number. There are only four days left until we get to head back to Stars Hollow (yayyy!), and then there are those four little words that Amy Sherman-Palladino had always planned to end Gilmore Girls with but didn’t, since she and her husband Daniel left the show before it finished.
When Sherman-Palladino gave her exit interview with TVGuide in 2006, she revealed that she had known the show’s trajectory from the start, down to the last four words that would ever be spoken by the characters. Even though she left the show, she’s kept mum about it — for 10 years — just in case she ever got the chance to make a big reveal.
And now she has that chance. After rumors about a movie, we were blissfully surprised to learn that she and Dan had returned to take the helm of A Year in the Life, and we FINALLY get to know what her big vision was. And it sounds like the last four words are going to be an exchange between two people — we’re guessing between Rory and Lorelai. Even though there’s been tons of speculation about what those fateful words could be, there surprisingly haven’t been any leaks, for which we are eternally grateful. We have NOT been waiting this long for a Gilmore Girlsrevival just to have it spoiled for us mere days before we get to binge it ourselves.
