This Is What Celeb Trainer Anna Kaiser Eats Every Morning

What do Kelly Ripa, Shakira, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Karlie Kloss all have in common? Besides being successful A-listers, they are also all clients of celeb trainer extraordinaire Anna Kaiser, who has helped tone their (in addition to numerous other) famously fit bodies in Hollywood. Kaiser is also the founder of AKT in Motion, a fitness empire that includes studios across the country, and an app, all built around her signature workout combining cardio, strength training, and flexibility.
With a packed schedule at work and home, Kaiser recognizes the importance of fueling up on the right foods to keep her energy high, starting with breakfast. “I am the mom of a very active one-year-old, so my mornings are a little crazy as soon as he gets up. Then I’m off to the studio to juggle meetings, train clients, teach classes, and create content, so I need something that’s going to help me start the day right with a good breakfast that’s protein-packed, [with] lots of nutrients, so that I can be ready for anything that comes my way.”
Another requirement for her go-to breakfast is that it has to taste good, so “I know I can and that I’ll want to reach for it.” She’s currently a fan of Pure Protein bars, for which she’s an ambassador, which each have around 20g of protein and healthy ingredients like oats, quinoa, flax seeds, and chia seeds. “I’m not only getting that great protein but also fiber and nutrients for the rest of the day,” she explains.
Post-breakfast, Kaiser says it’s important to have good sources of protein available wherever you are. “I know we’re all really busy. We’re jumping from home to work to meetings and after-work activities. Having something that really helps you stay on track is important.” She also tries to avoid sugar as much as possible to prevent the inevitable energy crash that comes with eating it. “It’s also not real food. We want to try to fuel your body with real food that’s going to keep you full longer and not fool your body because your mind wants something sweet,” she says. Kaiser is a fan of the Pure Protein birthday cake bar to help satisfy any sugar cravings (“It actually tastes like birthday cake”).
Beyond nutrition, Kaiser has a simple tip to help people stick to their everyday fitness goals: “Find a workout program you love, because that will help you show up.” For Kaiser, that’s dance and her AKT workouts, of which Ripa is also an avid fan. “Kelly Ripa and I have been working out for 10 years and she comes four or five days a week. For 10 years. Because she’s really found something she loves to do,” Kaiser says. “Whether it’s rock climbing, running, or yoga, find that thing you look forward to and that makes you feel good afterward.”
