Here’s When Season 5 of Nashville Is (Finally) Coming
Nashville, your fave country music-based series, has been seeing as much off-screen drama as its on-screen stories. After news broke that ABC was cancelling the show, fans were relieved when CMT heard the collective #BringBackNashville cries and picked up the show to save it from the cancellation afterlife. Now, as we prepare for the Gilmore Girls return and the second season of Fuller House, we now know when we’ll be able to head back to Nashville, as well.
After four seemingly successful seasons on ABC, season number five of the show starring Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere and Clare Bowen will premiere with a special two hour-long episode on CMT on Thursday, January 5 at 9pm. You’ll also be able to catch the show on Hulu, with full episodes becoming available the day after they air on CMT.
According to CMT President Brian Philips, “CMT heard the fans. The wave of love and appreciation they have unleashed for Nashville has been overwhelming. We see our fans and ourselves in this show and we will treasure it like no other network. Nashville belongs on CMT.” It sure does.
