Show Your S.O. You Care This Valentine’s Day With These Easy Pink Chocolate Pots
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and sometimes it can be hard to decide how to celebrate. Of course, you can always take your S.O. to a restaurant for a typical romantic date, but have you seen how much they usually charge for their special V-Day dinner?! Not to mention, spending your evening crammed into a small space with 50 other loved-up couples kind of takes the romance out of it. Instead, why not cook your own special meal at home, for the two of you? And for dessert: These white chocolate pots take just minutes to prepare — and best of all, they’re pink!
Ingredients:
Makes 5-6
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 10 ounces white chocolate, broken into chunks
- 1 cup heavy cream
- pink or red food coloring
Instructions:
1. Add the butter, chocolate and cream to a saucepan, and place over a medium-low heat. Cook gently, stirring regularly, until the chocolate and butter have completely melted to give a smooth mixture.
2. Add a few drops of red or pink food coloring, and mix to combine. Add more coloring for a richer color.
3. Pour the mixture into small ramekins or pots — you should be able to make around 5 or 6, depending on their size.
4. Place in the fridge for at least 6 hours, or until they’re set to your liking (leave them overnight for a firmer texture). Store in the fridge until you’re ready, and serve chilled.

After about six hours in the fridge, the white chocolate pots will still be super gooey, like you can see in the photos. If you’d prefer to prepare these the day before you need them, that’s totally fine, but they will be set a bit firmer. They’re absolutely delicious either way, so it’s entirely up to you!
These little chocolate pots are completely foolproof, so they’re perfect for cooking up to impress your S.O. — even if you’re not exactly a culinary genius (they don’t need to know how easy they were to make!). If this isn’t better than spending all your money at a restaurant full of strangers, I don’t know what is.
