Whitney Port Welcomed a Baby Boy — Find Out His Name!
It’s a boy for former MTV star Whitney Port! The first-time mama — who used social media to document her maternity journey, from the health scare she faced before conceiving to her pregnancy diet — took to Instagram once more with the news that her little bundle of joy had arrived.
Port, 32, and her husband, producer Tim Rosenman, welcomed Sonny Sanford Rosenman into the world at 12:30am on Thursday, July 27. On her Instagram Monday, Port shared an image of a hand-painted sign with the words “Welcome Baby Sonny,” along with a few hearts, flowers, and stickers of Disney characters. So sweet!
“Sorry I’ve been MIA for like a week!” she captioned the pic. “I lost my phone. Just kidding!! I made a human! Sonny Sanford Rosenman was born on 7/27/17!!” She added, “Everyone is so happy and healthy and we are home now. I’m going to try my very best to not be one of those moms whose feed is dominated by their baby but I can totally see how difficult it will be not to. I am beyond obsessed and in love and wish I could bottle this feeling for all of you out there. Check out the blog (link in bio) for more and welcome our little one to the world!! ❤️❤️❤️.”
On her website, Port included a pic of herself holding little Sonny after his birth, as well as a photo of the tiny dude all cleaned up and enjoying some of the snazzy duds his parents collected before he was born. (We are all about his giraffe bib.)
“So, I have some news. No big deal, but I created another human being and then delivered him into the world at 12:30am Thursday morning,” she wrote on her blog. “Timmy and I named the little man Sonny and I’m in love. Over the next few blog posts I’ll tell you all about the entire day, the following days at the hospital and bringing him home, but for now I just want to talk about how I’m feeling.”
She continued, “We’ve all heard mothers give the same speech about how life changing the love for your baby is, and it’s not like I didn’t believe it or anything, but I guess I couldn’t actually connect to those exact feelings until the doctor placed Sonny onto my chest. I love him and feel protective over him, but more than anything, I’m just like obsessed… I can’t wait to watch him change and grow and take on my traits and Timmy’s. I could go on forever, so I’ll stop now, but get ready for a lot more Sonny talk coming soon. XOXO, Mom.”
The fact that she signed the post “Mom” makes our hearts flutter with delight. Congratulations to the happy family! We can’t wait for ALL of the Sonny talk.
