Who What Wear Collaborated With Target on the Spring Collection of Your Dreams
Last week we shared some big 2016 upgrades you can expect to see in Target’s fashion department. If you missed it, the gist was basically that it’s about to be bigger and better than ever before. Staying true to that promise, let us introduce you to the brand’s newest collaboration with fashion website Who What Wear.
For those unfamiliar, Who What Wear is an online fashion destination launched back in 2006 by Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power, both former editors at Elle. Unlike Target’s past collection with brands like Lily Pulitzer, which essentially showcase the featured company’s particular aesthetic, this collab is all about the basics. If you’re currently trying to build and refine that capsule wardrobe, here might be the perfect place to start.
With pieces ranging in price from $15 to $50, the lookbook shows off a drapey trench to use as a light layer on brisk days, a faux-leather moto jacket to throw on over that LBD and the perfect mid-wash jeans. It’s not all basics though, there are also a few items you can use to experiment with. Case in point: a pair of culottes and a leather fanny pack belt.
What’s different about this collection is it won’t be released all at once. Instead Target will refresh the new styles and designs the first week of every month. With each new collection, Hillary and Katherine will refine, add and tweak things based on input they’ve gathered from their followers and Target’s guests. So basically, you can help influence what the line looks like.
The first pieces of the collection (available in sizes two to 26) are set to drop in select Target stores and on Target.com on January 31.
