WHOA: Anna Wintour and Gwyneth Paltrow Are Launching a Goop Magazine
If you’ve been feeling like you could use even MORE Goop-y goodness in your life (or if you can’t get enough of the over-the-top, luxe-lovin’, “yoni” stuffing brand), then you’re going to love this news. Goop’s goddess herself, Gwyneth Paltrow, and print media queen Anna Wintour are teaming up to bring us a new magazine that’s all about the Goop-ish lifestyle.
Though Paltrow had previously discussed separating herself from the brand, it now seems like she’s delving right back into the Goop-iness by launching a new project with Anna Wintour and Condé Nast. Sticking with the Goop name, the idea for the new magazine sparked while the two famous friends were having a chat.
First focusing on digital and social content, a quarterly special print issue of Goop will then hit newsstands in September, and according to WWD, the actress has nothing but high hopes for the partnership, saying, “Anna is a powerhouse, and one of the most admirable thought-leaders in media. Collaborating with her and Condé Nast on this multiplatform content partnership, anchored by Goop’s emergence into a physical entity, was an opportunity for us to push our boundaries visually and deliver Goop’s point of view to consumers in new, dynamic ways.”
In the same way, Wintour feels like Paltrow has plenty to contribute, saying, “I’ve long known Gwyneth to have wonderful taste and vision — but with Goop she has built something remarkable, a thoroughly modern take on how we live today. Goop and Condé Nast are natural partners and I’m excited she’s bringing her point of view to the company. We all look forward to working with her and her team.”
We can’t wait to see just how Goop-y this new magazine really is.
