Whoa: You May Be Able to Score a Leading Role in Disney’s Live-Action Aladdin Remake
With so much buzz over Disney’s new live-action flicks Beauty and the Beast, which opens everywhere IN SEVEN DAYS (though you can get the soundtrack now), Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid (see the trailer for the alternate version we didn’t see coming here), it seems like everyone wants in on the House of Mouse action — even Lindsay Lohan.
Welp, now’s your chance to be a part of film history, because Disney is looking for two Middle Eastern leads between 18-25 that are able to sing and have dance experience to be their RL Jasmine and Aladdin, and YOU could be one of them.
Alright kids, if you know someone who fits this, you better share this with them. Submit asap. Good luck my babies pic.twitter.com/PLP37ritcV

It’s a method that reportedly worked well for casting in the live-action remake of Mulan, which required bilingual leads fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Posting their reqs to Twitter, the company also posted the time frame for Aladdin‘s filming under director Guy Ritchie in the UK (an interesting choice of locale for a tale set in the desert, no?) of July 2017 to January 2018. The rehearsals are set to take place as early as next month (eep!), however, so it’s an opportunity you’ll want to move on quick!
All you have to do is send in a snapshot of yourself, along with a video of your singing skillz to ctcastingoffice@gmail.com.
A total dream come true, right? Looks like our DIY Jasmine and Aladdin costumes might actually pay off past Halloween, after all.
Best of luck, babes!
