Why People Are Extra-Sad That Camila Cabello Left Fifth Harmony

It’s always a shock when your favorite music group decides to call it quits, but it’s even more of a shock when you just can’t figure out why they did it, especially if they were on track to achieving worldwide fame like Fifth Harmony was. After being together since 2012 and only launching to real stardom this year, we kind of expected to see them ride the wave to the top. The geniuses behind “Work from Home” are definitely making us want to bust out our celeb breakup to-do list.

The announcement that Camila Cabello was leaving the group came as a shock to everyone — apparently even the rest of the 5Hers themselves. According to Billboard, Cabello’s representatives are the ones who broke the news to the other girls. WTF? This alone was enough to make a lot of fans upset, but what’s even worse is when you start thinking about the potential that 5H had. About what the group could have been had Cabello stayed.

People were pretty divided on Twitter. Some were definitely feeling the feels…

While others took turns laughing about the idea of Cabello’s solo career and looking forward to a Carpool Karaoke.

Hopefully this whole situation doesn’t shake Fifth Fourth Harmony too much, because we really want to see what they come up with next. And maybe Cabello’s solo stuff will be good too. Either way, 2017 can only go up from here.
